In Loving Memory of Scott W. MacDonell
On November 27, 2025, we said goodbye to our father, Scott Warren MacDonell. Scott lived a life defined by generosity — always willing, and always looking, to give to others. Whether through his time, his humor, or his financial support, he consistently sought ways to uplift the community around him. We are honored to have been lucky enough to call him Dad, and this foundation continues his legacy of compassion, strength, and service.
About Us
In 2018 our father was diagnosed with dementia, ultimately leading to a diagnosis of Alzheimer's within the following years. Since the diagnosis, and navigating the progression of the disease, it's become clear how emotionally, physically and financially taxing it is on the individual and their loved ones. As a result, and in honor of our father's philanthropic beliefs, we founded The MacDonell Foundation in 2024. Our mission is to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's research and resources through strategic collaboration with the Alzheimer's Association and local resource centers.
